High Court to look at Local Gun Control Laws

Just saw this on the wire.

High Court To Look At Local Gun Control Laws

The Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to decide whether strict local and state gun control laws violate the Second Amendment, ensuring another high-profile battle over the rights of gun owners.

With faith, all is possible. Not easy, but possible.

With Obama being anti-gun rights, and given that he still identifies with Chicago, it's a safe bet that this US Supreme Court case will be the Obama White House vs. the NRA.  I have no choice but to send money to the Obama administration.  I had better now send some to the NRA.

Approximately 20 years ago there was a front page human-interest story in the Wall Street Journal which I copied and sent to people at the time.  A small time gangster who had successfully won in courts time after time was picked up by Chicago police who were frustrated in not being able to ever convict the fellow.  The guy was white but not someone anyone I know would want as a friend.  The Chicago police let him out in a black ghetto with no money in the middle of the night.  He was murdered before he could make it out of the ghetto.  The court found the police guilty of manslaughter and more or less said that a white person on foot at night in that part of Chicago was sure to be murdered, and that the police had known that and intended that outcome.

Best way to change strict state gun laws is to replace the people that run the state, and change the laws.  Easier to do at state level than fed level.
Problem you have with winning a high court ruling for a state, is that state will do anything and everything to over regulate the laws regarldless of winning at the fed level.  We can see this already at D.C.  People in these states need to band together for this cause, or it likely will still be too restrictive anyway.
Voting works better at state levels,  but there has to be a big push from the people in the state for this.  There was a big push in my state several years back for CCW, without that big push and people getting really involved with the state legislators we would have never got our CCW laws changed.
Voting is still the best method.  Especially at local and state levels.  I hope things work out for the people in D.C. and Chicago, but the people were the ones that let the laws happen in the first place by their voting habbits.  Elections gave them what they have today.

I don't live in Chicago but I can practically throw a rock into it from my house. With all the minorities and illegals here it is difficult if not impossible to overturn the democratic machine.
