Bullets/Rate of Twist???

Bullet weight/BC/sectional density/velocity/rate of twist...I'm cornfused!!  Longer bullets need a faster twist?  Denser bullets need a faster twist?  Faster bullets need a faster twist?  Can somebody put it all together for me  ??? ???

BTW I got the round ball part down!
