Anyone here seen "Survivorman" or "Man -vs- Wild" on cable television?

I think a buckskinner version would be more fun to watch. Maybe just have a film crew follow a group of buckskinners on a wilderness trek.

There would need to be some research into choosing a region for remote wilderness setting and for historical signifigance. There is also a need for hunting & fishing licenses. What else comes to mind on the research phase?

I like that idea too...kinda the "Way the West was Won", but dealing with the mountain man era...vintage clothes, equipment, situations, etc.  Throw in some trapping, some Indian fighting, trading, etc.  Would definitely be worth watching.  Maybe someone will come up with something!
