This is interesting, although I'm not sure how accurate it all is.
For example, the author missed the point on his "1750" entry regarding bored vs. cored cannon bores. That wasn't done to increase the accuracy of the cannon, which it may well have done, it was done to avoid all the casting flaws that got into the metal next to the bore due to the presence of the core.
