I've been wondering when this would happen. Every dang 1950s movie monster is coming  back for a handout from Washington. First the gosh darned blob, then Gordziller tiptoeing through the tulips in San Fran, then we're back to having the creature from the black legume interfering with our bluegill fishing at the lake. Ooo ooo eeee!

The next step is the UFOs coming back for more handouts. Ever since we gave them our space junk concession in the 60's they've been coming back for more expensive trinkets every few years.

Who can the government prosecute in a case like this? Can they argue that Exxon ship traffic caused a mutation?

Good grief! I thought this would have been a hot topic.

Why isn't this consuming the national attention? Where is blobwatch.com? 24x7 blob coverage on all network TV? Speculation and government action? Military surveillance of the blob? Larry King interviewing blob experts?

I know! It's such a serious problem that they are hiding the truth from us!

It is literally miles long, and marine algae.

Its probably Gaea's revenge for nuclear testing, oil drilling, and clubbing baby seals. Al Gore must've invented it.

This is really strange!  I would say I wonder why we haven't heard more of this on the media, but we all know the answer to that.

Question of the day:

-How did the stimulus package get all the way to Alaska before anyone noticed it was missing?

I don't know what it is but big business, conservatives, and or guns will be blamed for it.  >:(

Unless they discover it cures cancer or something like that then Al Gore will claim he invented it.  ::)

Hold on now!
Maybe it's good for something!
Send it to Louisiana and they'll make something to eat out of it.
They did say it was organic, didn't they?
Why, there's a silver lining around most things, you know.

Bush discharged a bolt action machine gun using poisonous lead cop-killer bullets through a cloud of unregulated corporate emissions while hunting a protected species in Alaska. The unlicensed or serial numbered projectile traveled for miles before it fell on an unwitting bio sanctuary, violating its rights to privacy, to choose, and to be gender ambivalent. The toxic chemical cocktail coupled with deep sea sonar emissions by the Navy triggered a response in the algae, which was receptive because the mean temperature had risen .00001% over the last million years due to global warming.

Very good, but it is "manmade" global warming.   ;)

No, it's obviously blob-made global warming. There is practically no such thing as man-made global warming. Then there are the guys in UFOs heating our oceans with giant magnifying glasses. Go look it up in a good newspaper, like the National Enquirer.

They're not telling us it's not really a blob, it's actually the entire ocean turning to lime jello. This is natures way of preventing the rise of oceans due to global warming. It's also natures way of telling us we need more cool-whip.

MYSTERY SOLVED???

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,534084,00.html?test=latestnews

That big, oily black blob floating in the Arctic north of Alaska? Perfectly natural, say scientists.

"We got the results back from the lab today," Ed Meggert of the state Department of Environmental Conservation told the Anchorage Daily News late last week. "It was marine algae."

Ah, how unromantic. Calling a giant green blob "marine algae" is like calling a corvette a "red chevy". Technically true, but it doesn't capture the exciting essence of the thing.
