Well I was able to shoot the gun yesterday, along with my brother and a few friends. We were all impressed with the package, which ended up with a Leupold Rifleman 3x9x40 scope.
After testing several different brands of ammo, the Lightfields appeared to shoot the best and all shooters were able to shoot within an 1" of the target center at a distance of 75 yards.
There was one concern, on about the 5th round of the Lightfield's there was a failure to eject. It was not possible to remove the shell by hand, but a nearby arrow made the extraction easy. Upon, further inspection of the spent shell, there was a black burn mark on and around the primer and what appear to be a hole in the primer.
I am not sure now if this is an extraction problem that should be attributed to the firearm or the ammo.
Has anyone had a similar experience or has anyone encountered either of the individual problems?
If it is an issue with the firearm, what steps can I take to cure the problem?
