RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

Nice, sounds nice 'n loud like it should.

Just remember don't put your head directly over a thunder mug-that's hard to remember because that's the most convenient position to load it, but practice.

What did he load in it over the powder, anything?  What is the total depth of mug?

Thundermug as shown in the video has 33mm drilling and is 15-16cm deep hole .
I use about 10 grams rockwal isolation over the powder, are not packed hard.


A 35mm film canister with gunpowder.
Powder has a grain size of 0.3 to 2 mm.

yes I'm afraid to lose my hand, it is a loaded weapon!

Here are a couple of my Thunder mugs. The bore is 1.75, a golf ball patches nicely. A full charge is 3 to 4 oz. beech
