I am wondering if anyone has attached an accessory rail to their 1911? Comments and feedback are welcome. I think I would preferr the drill and tap mode. I know I am facing hoster problems, but I could deal with that. Thanks Jeff G

There are models of Taurus 1911's that come with a rail.

I've not done this, but if you read the feedback on Midway, those guys seem to be happy with the one they bought and installed from Midway.

The best aftermarket attached rail i have seen is the unit from Novak. It is picatinny style so no worries about your light/laser not fitting. It looks the best from what i have seen. They also offer two different finishes. Check it out.
