Curious since they generate a lot of felt recoil.

Your shoulder will get loose before the action does. :D

I have handled a lot of pre 87 or pre SB1 shot guns that were loose as a goose but they are all cast iron frames I just don't think you have anything to worry about with the SB1 mine are all still tight and I don't believe even if I tried that I could shoot them loose. Kurt

I agree with the other guys on this one. I have a 12 ga that has well over 10,000 rounds thru it including alot of turkey, buckshot, and slug loads. The only thing that has gone wrong with it is the ejector doesn't eject any more. It acts like an extractor.

Lube the hinge and they last forever, leave it dry and it'll be loose sooner or later.  :-\

4.7265 male lifetimes or 8.2786 female lifetimes, my calculations, yours may vary....<><....:)

Just as an aside and an interesting piece of little known trivia, did you know that 86.7% of statistics involving numbers are made up on the spot?

Would it be the lifetime of a labratory research mouse, or dog years lifetime?
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.
