It seems to me if the news people report with out slant or agenda its good news like in the 50's and 60's if they slant to the libs its politicaly correct . If they slant to the right its a crime .
Have i got it correct ?
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Well according to the Supreme Court it is NOT a crime to present lies as news as long as it isn't slander against someone else, so they can pretty much say whatever they want to.  I wish I had a link to the video where reporters from Fox news were trying to publish a story about how the hormones in milk cause cancer and the big wigs at the station would not let them.  They  presented a similar story saying that they did NOT cause cancer.  The journalist who were trying to publish the truth took them to court only to hear that Fox can say what they want even if there is proof that it is a lie and it isn't a crime.  Go figure huh.  I will get Matt to post a link to that story later when he gets home.

If the media couldn't lie, they'd be out of business.  Anyway, they don't have to outright lie, the people who work in the media are mostly journalists which means they are wordsmiths, which means they can slant things in subtle ways that fools most people into believing things and thinking the way the journalist wants them to.  Such as: whenever the word Republican appears in a newspaper it is often preceeded with the word "radical", or rightwing.  If a Democrat screws up and makes the news, his/her party affiliation is often left out.  Techniques such as this are ubiquitous throughout the media.
