I have often heard about the reason for the second amendment was so the average guy could be armed. And when the government got out of control, the people could take control through armed rebellion if necessary to restore government to it's rightful place.

Then I got to thinking about things.  If I was in charge and I wanted to change government into a thing the people would not like, and there was a threat of open rebellion.  I would put a network in place that would squash it from the start.  Then I would have the power to make all the changes I wanted to and no one could do anything about it.

Beginning to look like that is being worked on right now, and most of it is already in place.

The stage has already been set in Alaska for open rebellion.  We'll see how it goes in the next few months.  We have told our elected officials to stand up to the EPA and tell them "No we are not going to conform.  Get out of our state."  Action from ATF is also pending in regards to our sovereignty.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

It will be interesting to know how the BATFE thing against Alaska will be challenged. If the state is saying that it doesn't recognize the federal court for certain things, then how could anything possibly be prosecuted?  It seems like the Alaska gesture is essentially erecting a stone wall that cannot be circumvented directly. But could be circumvented when the federal government stops sending it money.

Somehow I think Alaska could manage on it's own for some time. When it comes to the federal govt....Somehow, I bet they give more than they get !
