I have not dived there, but my recommendation is to search for a good looking SCUBA forum, and post a question there. With a little research, you will find an excellent experience. Have you considered the big barrier reef in Belize?  I guess it depends on what kind of experience you want. Deep wall diving, coral reefs, wrecks, big fish, ultra-clear water, blue water, a good family trip with non-divers...

If you are going on a cruise- they have checked out the excursions so you'll have no worries. I have been in the Virgin Islands 2 years in a row and have had no problems. I snorkled alot , but don't SCUBA . Also make sure they take you to a good healthy reef. Many are dead because the tourists don't know how to protect the delacate coral reefs..
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
