Lab-Lab is up!
« on: June 02, 2009, 04:31:56 AM »
I took a shot and planted some Lab-Lab this spring, and it is already a few inches high and looking great. I understand that this provides a lot of protien-rich forage for deer. Has anyone else tried it? what have your results been?

I've planted Lab Lab and Sorgum three years in a row and had great results with it. My buget did not allow any planting for wildlife this year.  The Deer love it once they figure out it's food.  They will graze it hard and it will grow back as fast as they eat it. great stuff.  Mossyoak green patch has always done well for me as well.

Lab Lab is a vineing  pea or bean like plant. It has big leaves that the deer love.

Exactly. The deer are hammering it already. I have not seen the beans yet, but NY has had a record year for rainfall, and the plots are flourishing. Biologic markets Lab-Lab. the seeds look like small beans.
