loose trigger guard and bolt on brand new 10/22
« on: August 16, 2009, 01:47:00 PM »
hello all...does anyone no what the deal is with my brand new 10/22 cabine having a loose trigger guard and bolt, when i compare it to my charger which is also new. it is very sloppy and wiggles around ,i was told i could shim the trigger guard, and i have got no input on the loose wobbly bolt, but i dont want to do to much to it since it is new.and the place i bought it from wont do a return or exchange,i am going to call ruger in the am but i would like to get some input on this issue if i can,so i am not so blind when i call ruger...is it possible i have a bad receiver, and if so how did it pass QC and been ok?are the tolerances on rugers 10/22's lazy,i know it's a 200$ rifle but why does my charger seem more well built?   thanks ;new member

Calmly explain your concern to Ruger and my bet is that they will fix it for you.  They have a reputation for good customer service.
