      I'm sorry; but I expect the police to treat me as a human being and with reasonable civility. On the other hand i don't believe i should be treated with special "kid gloves" or other special courtesies...no matter what my job or what color my skin.
   I think that is reasonable..

I apologize for not being here too answer the statements I made.

First I am not racial or a racist, in this instance racial was correct because I was not accusing him of bein a racist but racial in his off handed remarks.
I do not see color as being a defineing factor in a persons strengths or weaknesses.
I do not think that ethnic origin has a defing factor in strengts or weaknesses.

The statement made by Obama was self defineing. It was taken by the the officer as racial. It was taken by the police line of command as being racial. It was certainly taken by the reporting press as racial.
Now I would agree that you may question that there was nothing racial in the statement, however; I would deny that you are correct.
It is my opinion that he ment it just as he said it and he intended it to be racial.
Folks have been relieved of their employment for making much less interpreted racial statements.
I would suggest that this also would be held up for review if a person of any other person of the white ethnic origin had made it.
What I am really wondering is why you have so much time on your hands to draw such conclusions.
I think I am suggesting that you plant some tomatos or onions or paint the house. you just have too much time on your hands.

   Sgt Crowley did not go to the scene alone, he had a black officer with him. That black officer said Sgt Crowley was totally correct in the way he handled the situation.
 
      I don't understand the reasoning by some, that says, .."I was once mistreated by this type person" (choose an ethnic group).. so therefore anybody from that group automatically has it in for me".
  I had a man of African heritage rip me off once..does that mean All people of African heritage are crooks ? Not in my book, it doesn't !
  No more than Gates is credible in ASSUMING that all white people are racist !

I don't think polling blacks is the answer.
Before the elections a radio jockey sent a reporter to Harlem to get the black peoples views on  b-o .
The reporter would ask  blacks on the street what they thought of b-o's views on keeping our troops in Iraq indefinitely?

They all thought it was a good idea!!

When asked what they thought of b-o doing away with abortions.
They thought it was a great thing for the country.

In other words--They don't know or care what b-o does or thinks!

They only care that he is black!!

  1) Obama admitted he "may be biased".

  2) Obama admitted he was not there and "did not have the facts".

  3) Obama disregards his own statements and says the Cambridge PD " acted stupidly"..

   ...An apology Plus a request for forgiveness is in order..not a bunch of blather & spin..

   BTW: A black female cop whom Crowley serves with said in an interview today, that she voted for Obama.."but never again", due to the
 falsehoods Obama put out concerning her police dept.
