IF YOU CANT READ THE BILL WITH THE AID OF THE STAFF THAT YOU HAVE AT YOUR DISPOSAL YOU MAY NEED TO GO BACK TO BEING A NEIBORHOOD ORGANIZER, OR AGITATOR OR WHATEVER IN HELL YOU DID BEFORE!

Oldshooter, WHY SHOULD THEY READ THE BILLS THEY VOTE ON? They ARE the lessor of two evils, and what they are doing is working for them. They keep getting elected DON'T THEY? :o

I hope i am wrong on this.
I think i heard on Fox yesterday that in the health care bill was a part
dedicated to reparations for slavery, want to think i heard wrong.
They were saying that "o" was sure this was the only way to get it through.

Well Dee i dont think they are the lesser of two evils cause they are in office! We dont elect the lesser of two evils, it seems lately that we elect the greater of all evils! I would gladly see the lesser of two evils right now!

Voting for the dont have a prayer candidate has gotten us the greater of all evils!

Glenn Beck did a special on this. He documented it as reparations as quoted that Obama doesn't feel that reparations would go far enough.

Not me Oldshooter. I think we need to let'em run until EVERYONE is hungry, and THEN AND ONLY THEN, will everyone MAYBE! Wake up and smell the coffee. The "lessor of two evils" is what has split the voters into splinter groups with some like me getting "sick of the lessor of two evils" and refusing to vote "status quo" any longer. If everyone loses their ass, gets hungry, and starts looking at D.C. instead of a handout, maybe they'll get on board and get something POSITIVE going instead of settling for the LESSOR OF.jmo

When a child does something wrong and doesn't get punished it is highly likely that they will once again repeat the bad behavior.  One day when Daddy comes home and beats his butt for this said bad behavior then the chances of him doing it again decrease dramaticaly.  Congress and other elected officials have yet to be punished for their bad behavior.  Why do the work if you still get to keep your job if you don't?  They have no incentive to act on our behalf. They need a metaphorical ass whooping and maybe they will see the error of their ways.  If we don't hold them accountable and punish the wrong doers they have NO reason to act right.

There ya go. The "lessor of" thinks that as long as he isn't quite as bad as the "more of" he will continue to get elected. And ya know what? He's RIGHT! ;) He will push right up to the limit, and then back off, each time gaining a little more of the "more of", until we get where we are, and folks are screaming: gimme me the "lessor of" back, just like you just stated Oldshooter. ::)

No one in congress wants to read a bill.  More than that, no one in congress wants his bill to be read.  There is all kinds of pukey stuff in nearly every bill that cannot stand the light of day.  In 2006 and 2008 the political pendulum swung the other way and it is the Democrats turn to run everything for four or eight years. 

At election time the Democrats will go home and tell their constituents about all the spiffy new welfare bills that they voted for.   The Republicans will go home and tell their constituents how much they love something they call "family values."  In the end over 90 percent of the scumbags will be re-elected.

    they got the ass whooping over the assault weapon ban once that is why they dont want to touch it again. But they will.
