Prayers please
« on: April 24, 2003, 06:19:25 AM »
I am in a trying situation and could use some prayers. My wife and I are both saved and we both understand the power that prayer carries.
Anyway, my wife is pregnant and due later in August. She has started having contractions and has been put on bedrest until further notice. We have 2 young children at home and she can't do anything, so we are being taken care of by some of the wonderful people in our church. They are coming in to help with the kids and the house while I am at work. We are also starting to move today into a new house, so I have been pretty busy with that as well. This isn't a gloom and doom message, we are just being stretched and grown right now and would appreciate the prayers of the Godly people here. God is good and he will continue to provide and care for us. I probably won't be able to check messages or posts for a couple of days because of the move, so I will say thank you to everyone now. Also thanks to CKnight for covering on our forum while I am out.

You both have all the basics. I'll pray for your soon to be newest child and it is a common thing to remain bed ridden to be sure that all will be well. Just tell your wife I am sending a prayer in your whole familys behalf and although you feel burdened right now, there is always a time to take time and say thanks to God for all you have.

Thanks for the prayers. I'm back and we made it through the move. It has been a busy few days but I am done moving and my wife is doing well but still in bed. I took the kids into church this morning and had a great time putting everything aside and worshipping God.  Sometimes it can be too easy to lose focus on the eternally important items of the day, but God is good and takes care of everything.

It is a little late, but I just wanted you all to know that we had our son on July 31st. Joel Thomas Hileman was 6lb., 7oz. and came along 3 weeks early. God has truly blessed us. Thanks for the prayers.
