best high power hunter stock

I'm thinking about putting a new stock on my Rem 700.  What do you think is the best high power hunter stock?

Talk to Keith Cairns. That stock he (and others) designed -- for the Alpine Machine hunter rifle and, as I understand, now used by Nesika -- is very comfortable, well made and solid.
Long as they don't change the rules...again.

you have to get some info on the weight, but if it is not a problem then ....
I have a HS Precision hunter stock and I am very happy with it, it also only took 2 weeks to get it, it is on the heavy side something like 20 oz ??
you have to check it on their site.... I know the stock that NOmad is talking about and I tell you it is a nice piece of equipment.  At the time I was getting mine I was crunch with the time, but if I had more time then i would probably go with Keiths work, but it did not happened nevertless I am happy with HS Precision stock and it is something else to look at.
by the way dont qout me on that but I think that Keiths stock weight about 17 oz which gives y ou more room to play

I am a bit confused.  I thought Ian Robertson of Robertson Composites was making stocks for Nesika.  You guys have pictures of the stock you are talking about?  Anyone know how to post picutres on this site.  I have some pictures of the Hunter stock from Ian and wanted to know if they are the same thing?

Pawel I am not doubting you but that seems awfully light for a HS Precision stock.  You did mean 20 ounces right?

Whether it's proprietary I couldn't say. I do note that nowhere on Robertson's site (that I can find) is there a hunter silhouette stock offered.

When I talked with Ian back in May he said he does not list the stock because he has (or had) a contract to produce the stocks for Nesika.  I ordered two for myself in May when I talked to him.  The stock is identical to the stock Nesika lists on their site for their Light Hunter.

Mr. Marvin Pearson in Chehalis WA uses this stock to make some real nice Hunter guns.  The two pictures I have of these stocks are guns that Marvin has done.  One is Marvin's small bore and the other is a customer's HP rifle.  I think Marvin gets the stocks directly from Nesika.

Are we talking about the same stock here?

Whoever makes it, Keith and a couple of others in the Pacific northwest designed it. And they did a good job. It holds well and it fits just about everyone who's handled it. (It could use a little more rounding in the forearm for my taste but that's a minor issue...and no more than personal preference.) I was just looking at a blank being inletted the other day -- it's very well made.
If Troy bought it from Robertson (assuming it's the same stock) it must not be restricted in sales.
Anyway, Lucho, if you call Keith I'd expect that he can tell you how to get one.

sorry guys, I just checked and the HS Precision hunter weights 2.25 Lb,
I grew up in the metric system and somethimes I have troubles with conversions  of Lb and oz
my mistake!

That sure is a beauty.... I want one. Can it be inletted to fit a Sako 579 heavy barrel.

So we're not all bugging Keith. What are they worth and whats the availability?

I think some one in Vancover had him inlet for a sako.

Hi, We make the stock in question. The agreement that we have with Nesika is that they own the design. This means that this stock is only available from them. We have sold a few direct in Canada to avoid crossing the border twice. The price is the same on either side of the line and is set by Nesika. Glad it is working well for those that have it!
