new adj trigger fit on older ATR?

Does anyone know if the new trigger will fit a previous model ATR?  Its a .270 if that matters.

I called Mossy on this same subject. They said no. I wanted to buy a trigger group for my 4x4 and they would not sell. I have no real issue with mine, just thought it would be nice to have one pop at 2lbs!

I've had my ATR .30-06 since 2004 and my buddy bought a .243 a couple years afterward.  The triggers were always decent.  Over time our they have come around, more so.  The pulls have lightened and the breaks are clean.  We've commented on several occasions that we actually wouldn't want them any lighter.

Thanks for the replies.  The trigger isn't bad really, but I would prefer it a little lighter.  The only thing I've found so far is this:

I'm not going to bother with the bolt mod but may see what I can do with the trigger itself.

Just a heads up I took the trigger apart on my ATR last night and replaced the retun spring.  I used a lighter spring from a local hardware store, doubt it matters where you the source the spring from.  I did have to drill out the hole that the spring sits in a little but it was very easy.  I cut the spring a little long to get rid of some creep but didn't really fine tune it at all. 

For a mod that cost basically nothing and took about 15 minute there is a huge improvement in the trigger.  It is lighter, with a nice smooth pull and a crisp break.  There is still a little creep but not enough that I'm going to bother mesing with it. 

Put a spent shell in the chamber and tried dropping, jarring and otherwise bumping the gun to see if it would accidentally fire and had no trouble at all. 

Have shot it twice since the mod and everything works great.  I highly reccomend this to anyone with an ATR or 4x4.
