Anyone own a 2x Weaver scope?

Howdy all, just searching for opinions, but I would like to replace my Tasco PDP 3 Red Dot with a Weaver 2x stainless scope.  The caliber is .375 Win. and the piece is a contender used for whitetail hunting (ranges no greater than 200 yrds., but most likely under 100).

1)  If anyone owns one, do you like it (is it well-built, worth the price)?
2) Do you think that this particular scope will withstand the thumping of a .375 Win. (no muzzle break, 14")?

Flyfisher, I have a Weaver 2x handgun scope on my 444 Marlin contender barrel.  So far it has stood up to a couple hundred full power loads.  Previously it sat on my Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag and had been shot with several hundred full power 320 grain loads.  This one has stood up so far...RW

I'll echo Ravenwolf, I've got a 2x Weaver sitting on my 44 Ruger SRH with the long barrel. Hasn't ever had a problem. Goes pistol hunting for whitetail in Illinois every year (even if it's not me carrying it, someone always wants to borrow it). Lots of bumping around, snow, hauling up into a treestand, sliding in and out of a cross-chest holster, etc. Holds zero, never fogged except when you go from the warm camper to the 18 degrees outside, but that's just on the surface of the lenses and they clear up when the scope cools down.

Thanks guys, I purchased the scope ast weekend and am dying to sight her in.  Should provide many years of fun for me.
