missouri has no real gun registration, even kc and st. louis to my knowledge (I've never lived in either and the nra isn't attacking either that i'm aware of so it should be true) traveler law protection, concealed carry in vehicles is almost perfectly justifiable unless you do something really bad like drive drunk or rob a bank, the state is open carry but any town can restrict that to concealed once you leave your yard or something like that...
long story short no paperwork bs, no harassment, the guns can be out in the open in your car, unlock, loaded, whatever
you can't have a gun if you are a felon, mentally retarted, crazy (REALLY crazy, not just mental), on the run, illegally here in the us, or in the act of commiting a serious crime (which makes no sense just like anti-gun laws that don't address murder, which is also illegal), or drunk... I think that's it. Seriously you can have a deer rifle in a gun rack on school grounds with the rebel flag, nra or whatever else on the back window and although they can try to suspend you or cry about it, just hold your ground and quote the law (they can still push but then you can sue, win and make them pay your tuition. I'll do it if I ever want to go back to college)
look it up, mo is the place to go. also property taxes are really low here too.
