.221 Fire Ball
« on: October 14, 2003, 01:05:36 PM »
I just picked up a new barrel, .221 fire ball.  It is a 10 inch octogone and looks like it was never fired, no wear marks of any kind.  I shot 12 rounds of factory ammo through it at 25 yards just for fun.  It grouped about 2 inches with open sights once it settled down.  Shots started low center (first 3) then went high left (last 9).  I know this is no real test of the barrels potential.  Is any one else shooting this round? what is the best i can expect from this barrel? any pet loads i should try?

thanks.
