IS THERE WAY TO TELL SB 1 FROM SB2 BY SERIAL NUMBER ?

over time i have mixed receivers from gun to gun  ( I KNOW I KNOW )
Is there a way to confirm which is sb1 or sb2 ?
I looked at the FAQ's  and still my head hurts

perhaps ( well no doubt ) someone smarter than me who could assist

can anyone look at the list and tell if it's an sb1 OR sb2

Not by serial numbers, if you read the FAQs and Help, you'll see the pics of them and you can see the difference, only H&R can tell by the serial number if you want to call them and have em look em up, they have to be able to determine what barrels can be fitted, so they have the records to do so. The AL is neither, they didn't make SB1 or SB2s then, it's a cast iron frame tho.

Use control F to search the FAQs page for difference, you can search for any word or phrase on any browser page on the internet.  ;)

If ya start goin' thru the FAQ's you will find out lots of answers to questions ya hadn't even thought of yet.  It's a great way to learn more about these little gems.  DP
