are these any good and what kind of loads do they handle and what is a good price for one used in good condition.

Trapdoor only for the 45-70, they're on a cast iron frame, very accurate cast bullet shooters, they can go for $125 and up depending on what kind of shape they're in.

thanks seen a guy selling a set but he wants $400 for the set and not sure of the condition think i might be better of getting a buffalo classic or a handi instead but thought i would ask and what are the trapdoor level loads like can you hunt with them or just more like target loads

Trapdoor loads are fine for hunting, 300gr up to 2200fps, 405gr up to 1700fps.
