How can I tell?

I have a Handi in .223.  How can I tell if it's the S23 or the SL3?

If you mean SY3 or SL3, one has sights, the other only a scope rail. If it's got a 22" barrel, it's not a Superlight (SL3) which has a 20" barrel. Muzzle diameters of the different contours are listed in the FAQs.
