Got to the range today
« on: August 11, 2009, 12:12:30 PM »
Had a little free time today so I took the ol sidekick to the range. I was testing the 460 gr no excuse. I tried this weekend before last and ended up pealing the bottom half of my forend off shooting off a bypod. well a little epoxy in the right place fixed that. I am very pleased with the no excuse. I shot 3 shots that measured about an inch and a half at 50 yards with a peep and dead center of the target. The propellant was 80gr of 777. I did not have much time so I backed to 100 yard and shot one shot it fell to the right about an inch and a inch high. Looks like a dead elk to me. Thanks Busta for the info on the no excuse they are great.

Chris,

I am glad it worked out for you. I used 80 gr 777 FFFG and a 430 gr White Super Slug in the Huntsman on this one. You put that 460 gr No Excuses in the boiler room, and you will be eating elk backstraps before you know it.

GOOD LUCK!
