6mm BR handi rifle????
« on: August 15, 2009, 06:17:58 PM »
I ran across a handi in 6mm BR, wonderin if any body can fill me in on this round?    The barrel, to me looks like an after market, it's shorter than a factory barrel and thers a braket to put a sling made fabricated on the barrel in front of the forearm,  I never thought to look for any info printed into it.  The reciever is case hardened instead of blued, does H&R even make the rifle reciever in case hardened??  and the trigger has been worked, it's real light and feels great.    Any body got any thoughts on this little gun???  for $300 bucks it's kinda interestinn to me.
I've never been lost,,,just rite fearsome confused for a few months.

Either a rebore or astub the way it sounds.

The Buffalo Classic comes with a faux case coloring, but it could also be an SB1 frame that someone used instead of an SB2.

As far as a rebore, the inside of the chamber looked like it may have been bored, kinda wondered myself.  But the shape of the barrel was'nt factory,it tapered off a little different and the crown was dished shaped instead of a recess with shoulders like a factory barrel, sorry for the lack of propper terminology ya'll.   I should have paid more attention to the details, just looked it over on my way out.  But I wondered if some one used a different reciever like you said Quikdtoo, ther aint no tellin who built it, I gotta run thru ther tomarrow, think I'll stop by and give it a good go'in over.   as short as it is it would make a great truck gun for deer and coyote or carry on the 4 wheeler.
