traditions buckhunter rifle, nipple oppinions wanted.. thanks..

i have an old traditions buckhunter muzzleloader that shoots great

 but the nipple is starting to get beat up and is tilting to one side.. not to mention its starting to round of from removing to clean. 

i am going to replace it anyways so i was wondering if there is a better nipple out there than the common replacement nipple... or should i just pay for the conversion kit and use the 209 primers.

$5 for nipple or $25 for the conversion?  not much of a diffence since i have to replace anyways

this is a buchhunter 50cal, sliding bolt, #11 caps

the questions are..lol 

what is the better nipple for this gun?
should i replace the breachplug?    is there a better one out there?
is the 209 primer worth the upgrade?

just wanted some input on what you all would do before i just replace it with a common nipple.  thanks

I've used a musket cap nipple on mine and now have the 209 primer conversion. The musket cap is hotter than #11 nipples and works well,but I do think the 209 conversion is worth it. If you decide to try the musket caps, PM me. I have a new spare musket nipple or 2 setting around that I would send you. If you go #11 again, get a stainless nipple.
