Howdy,
I got my T-Bolt back from
www.summit3dgraphics.com and they now have photos of the rifle in their gallery page. They did an outstanding job of recovering an otherwise ruined rifle.
They polished all the metal to remove any rust, then filled the low spots and pits. The metal, including the screws and floor-plate, was Dura-Coated in a silver-gray. The wood was lightly sanded, dried, sealed, painted, then had the wood-grain applied with the immersion process. There are two layers of protection between the metal and the toxic wood stock. My father checkered this and my brother's T-Bolt forty years ago and that checkering remains.
Check out
www.summit3dgraphics.com and the pics. These guys do outstanding and careful work. I'm looking for excuses to send them more stuff.
