One of those little banners at the top of the screen got my attention. The Weatherby SA-08 auto shotgun looks pretty cool, especially for a gun retailing for under $500. I didn't know they made guns like that. It's an intelligent expansion of their budget line of rifles. Any word on whether it's been reviewed by somebody trustworthy?

Technically speaking THEY meaning Weatherby do NOT make it. They merely import it with their name roll marked on it. In fact that's pretty much the case with ALL Weatherby firearms they are not strictly speaking a firearms manufacturer so much as a firearms importer. Even their made in the USA guns aren't made by them but by someone else for them or at least were the last I heard.

It has ever been thus with Weatherby, but the do manage to sell good stuff, generally. I seem to recall they've had a few bad products, as all companies do, but generally they do well.

They seem to be doing a good job of balancing their premium products with their bargain products.
