Socialist mayor-Patterson,N.J.
« on: August 20, 2009, 02:44:02 PM »
Seems the mayor in Patterson,N.J. has a crime problem. In the last month, a few murders and a whole bunch of shooting.Innocent people getting blasted. Now in the interview, he admits that the police know the troubled areas, and what gangs are causing most of the problems.
What he's proposing is a city wide curfew, adults as well as minors, from 11pm to 7am. Sounds like to me, that he reallly isn't trying to solve the crime/drug problem. Just contain it so it goes on during daylight hours. Ya know, the more I think about it, he isn't a socialist after all. There's alot of drug money going around there. And wasn't the Soprano's filmed in N.J. And the mayor's name is Joey Torres. Maybe he's more of a capitalist than we realize?? gypsyman

With congress and the president for reference, the word socialist just doesn't have the impact it used to.

Has anyone here ever been to Paterson, NJ?  I have been there:  Not by choice.  Have also been to Beirut when it was bombed out.  The difference between bombed out Beiruit and Paterson, NJ:  Beirut was clean.  The crime rate in Paterson and Jersey City are astronomical.  The pukey NJ governors should have cleaned up those cities decades ago.

I haven't been to bombed out Beirut, but I can certainly attest to the horrid conditions of Patterson. When I first got there I thought I had come to an unusual local junk yard, and then I realized that the city was all like that.
