I got this from a lady about 5 miles south of Pipe Creek this morning:

Quote:
"I chatted with the woman who owns the car wash in Lakehills - their well has run dry and they called a water well drilling company,
only to find they will have to wait in line for 5 weeks before they can get to them."

Lake Hills is close to Medina Lake. This is about 35 air miles west of San Antonio.

Welcome to Texas.  They,  like most of Texas is in a drought, have you taken a look at Lake Travis lately?  We have had a good bit of rain here in my area of West Texas, but still not enough to bring the water table up to acceptable levels.  I have two springs on my place that I have never seen dry, always a pool of nice cold water about four feet deep and approximately 4-5 feeet wide by 10 feet long, it has dried to a bucketful this year.  If we don't get some rain with good run-off soon they will be dry by opening day.

We are headed to our place north East of Del Rio Sat morning.  We had a really wet spring early on, but the past month or so has been hot and dry it seems from watching the local weather and reading the Del Rio newspaper.   We'll see in a couple of days how things look.
