I have 2 Bisley Vaqueros I am thinking of selling. They are both 5.5" .357 cal. one blue and one stainless. all boxes and stuff. The blue one never fired. anybody have an idea of the current Value?

I am out here in Tucson, Az. I just picked up a used Bisley SS .357 w/Fake Ivory Factory grips for $500.00 from a dealer. Hope that helps. Prices may be higher out here because of Cowboy Shooters.

Region has a lot to do with values. Around here, I'd expect to see them tagged around the $425-450 mark.

I saw a stainless .44-40 at a local gun store last week for $425, no box. It looked practically new.

Here in PA, they are $510.00 new, at the local gun shop. So about $425.00 or so sounds right.. The Bisley grip frame is somewhat of a hard sell, most folks like the traditional grip style. It's the smart shooter, who has shot both, especially with loads that recoil, the appreciates the Bisley style....

Are y'all talking new model Vaqueros or old? The "old" full size Bisley Vaquero is getting hard to find and bringing a premium around here. I wish I had bought more of them back then.

ALL Vaquero models are New Models. New Models started in 1973 and there weren't any Vaqueros until years after that. There's the Vaquero and the New Vaquero.

For whatever it's worth I picked up a nearly new Bisley with the birdshead grip in 357 this summer for $350 here in Oklahoma.
It had the short barrel. I had been looking for one for a couple years. I was surprised to find one this nice, this cheap.

Old Fart; I believe you have a Blackhawk with a birdshead grip. If it doesn't have the Bisley grip it is just a blackhawk. That is of unless someone changed the grip frame after purchase.

Probably isn't a Bisley, my bad.
But it's not a blackhawk.

Looks like this one only blue and 357.

That would be a birds head model Vaquero. A BNVBH-33I is what I believe the Cat # would be.

i had one in 45 LC....a bisley vaquero...but couldn't see the sights well. I bought a 4 5/8" 45LC BH,switched the hammer,trigger and grip frames and then had a 45LC 4 5/8" Bisley(no, its not for sale) and what i had left over was a 45LC Vaquero with a alloy grip frame...sold the vaquero and recovered the money i spent on the BH so my conversion was basically free. If you want to covert a BH to a Bisley it's a good way to go.....

BTW i am no gunsmith but was able to do this conversion with a Ruger SA owner's manual as my only reference....the parts dropped right in

Will these sites tell you what they are selling for, or what the targeted prices are? I was in a gun shop the other day, and the subject of gunbroker prices came up, with reference to a particular model. This particular dealer moves guns through gunbroker as a part of his business, and he was saying that much of the time the actual sell price is a lot less than what one would think. I suspect that Blackhawk73 may be right in his assessment that values may be pretty much regional.

With GunBroker, look and see what completed auctions results were. You can see what people are bidding up to even if the item didn't meet a reserve.
