holster for bearcat?
« on: October 26, 2003, 11:48:56 AM »
I have a Ruger Bearcat I want to start carrying with me when I big game hunt.  Uncle Mike's doesn't list a holster for it.  Any suggestions?

Tom

You could make your own.  Look in the Sept-Oct. issue of Backwoodsman magazine for some instructions, or look at some other holsters, get some leather and come up with your own design.

I was able to convert a (Hunter?) holster into a very servicable unit for my bearcat. I belive it was originally designed for a DA revolver. I bouht it for $10 and with some minor trimming it works and looks good. I will try post the holster# if I remember.
Just another worthless opinion!!

I had the same problem. I used an Uncle Mike's nylon belt holster for a S&W K frame. I took it to an upolstery shop and had them put a line of stiching in it so the Bearcat was snug. It fits great. I always have my Bearcat with me in the woods. They are great little guns.
