:?       everyone has their favorite , but is there a proven bear bait, I have used appels , fish and old donuts with various luck,. Are any of the comerical baits any good
When someone shows you how they really are, beleive them.

Another good bait is maple syrup and bread anything SWEET.Fish can be a good start but move to sweet things, dog food,corn grain and so on.They will eat just about anything.  :sniper:

Whatever works you use.  Jim uses Anise oil to start his sites I use Chicken.  When the site becomes active then we put in the heavy sweets.  We had one bear who would not touch chocolate donuts one year.  It was so funny.

When I hunted in maine this year, the outfitter used two types of baits.....sweet baits, and meat baits....the meat baits that he used were all beef.....where as the sweet baits were a combo of snikers fast break bars, and gummy bears.go figure :)  they sure seemed to like 'em though.
Most children loose their innocense when they first saw old yeller die...me, i lost mine when they killed Optimus Prime.
