MG Arms light weight single actions
« on: May 27, 2011, 10:41:38 AM »
Saw these mentioned in a review of a rifle MG Arms makes and checked it out.  17 oz., six shot, chambered in 32 Mag, 38 special, or 44 special.  Fixed or adjustable sights and starting slightly over a grand. I was totally surprised they existed and wondered if they were on anyones radar.

Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of these revolvers? Heard anything?

Their website does not give a lot of information about the gun, but it seems they are a quality maker.  I'm guessing maybe made of titanium?  A full size, 16 ounce flat top S/A .44spec. with adjustable sights......Whats not to like?   I'd be curious to see a review of this gun.

I looked around the website a bit and saw the Dragonslayer , First revolver i can recall seeing with a Accuracy Guaranteed but I could not find a statement as how accurate they are supposed to be . I myself enjoy my Rugers but also own several Freedom arms and there is a very noticeable difference between the two , I would think the Dragon slayer would be someplace in between .
I would really like to find a stocking dealer for the Dragonfly so i could handle one , I think the 38 special might be just the ticket .
The names on these revolvers though are bit much , I could never own a painted camo revolver .

There is a thread about them on single actions.com Some of the people are very sceptical, I don't know if quality has been spotty in the past? I guess they make rifles that are really light too. I'd sure want to see a review by someone who just bought one from a dealer.

They are a relatively small custom gun builder. I doubt that there is any such thing as a "stocking dealer" for them

I can’t help with that revolver…

BUT

MGA did build my 338WM and accurized all my son’s 30-06s…

I have been considering taking my Blackhawk to him for some tuning… but I figured I would wait to get my Bisley.

I have known Kerry for close to 20 years and if he does it will be done right

Agreed.  Dark matte grey and never, ever, mention the name.

BTW, I don't have a clue about the quote feature or a lot of other forum features for that matter.
