My first Mosin
« on: August 28, 2009, 09:36:51 AM »
My uncle traded for a Mosin at the flea market and I bought it from him for $50.  Its a 1917 model hex reciever, long as all get out.  Took everything apart, cleaned.  Stock is in decent shape, everything else is near mint.  Just have no idea what designation/history/value this Mosin has where it is not the more recent stlye.  Any help?  Don't have it with me now but besides the 1917 marking the SN starts with a "N" and there are little bow and arrows in various places and what I assume to be a double eagle mark on the top of the reciever.  Never bought any milsurp before, but can see how this can be addicting.
