sat. evening funny .
« on: August 29, 2009, 01:16:23 PM »
ok i'm tring something new ......

if anyone likes civil war reenactions this is a must see . it's funny ,its silly , it's junvinile , and has no redeamming value what so ever ..... except it and most southpark episodes are funny ....

probably not to everyone on the board , but what the heck  :o :o.

if you watch it and dont like it ....it was worth the price ;D plus you can fibb and say 'oh heavens to betsy i wouldnt watch that ....tripe' . who will know ?

if you do like it , well you still dont have to admit it either ,if you are still in the closet .

BTW i've spotted two 20 lb parrots in this show , lots of musket shooting .

 http://www.southparkstudios.com/

this one might work and take you right to the civil war show .

or season 3 # 314 .....dont mind the title it's out of left field . all episodes are avilbe free . so no excuses .

i'd be interested in hearing from someone who watched it front to back and not crack a smile ?

its only 24 mins long without commercials .  8)

I found it.  You have to click on the episode guide, then pick season 3, and then the episode called "Red Badge of Gayness"

Well, I watched it, but it just didn't hit me as one of their really funny episodes.    I'm no prude, so sometimes regardless of the subject matter, South Park hits me as hilarious beyond belief, but at other times I find the episodes simply weird.   To me this one was more toward the weird end of the spectrum.

Cheers

You aren't missing much Dan...you will have to wait a long while for it to open, and then try to figure out south park humor.

I watched some of what opened with the link provided.  Confirms my opinion of that show - drunken frat-rat humor.  With badly drawn cartoons.

Only watched parts of 3 different episodes of "SouthPark", I get the overall message, but the brands of humor aren't my cup of tea, nor the drawings, pretty crude cartoon-ish, you might say. Duh, they are supposed to be cartoons! Whatever, I think it would be more fun to drive the combine! (And scout deer tracks!) BoomLover

Southpark is an acquired taste. You like it or you don't. On the whole it is a pretty irreverent show.
I'd rather shoot cannons.

I would likely enjoy it if I had the time.  But since I haven't got the speakers hooked up (by choice) it wasn't worth watching more than 30 seconds.  Humor of all flavors is OK.

well there is that !  ;D

you should listen to the "1812 overture" with no speakers ........it sounds better than southpark sounds

without sound .... ;)   the real cannon version sounds even better .... without sound 8)

Obviously SP has a large following, otherwise it would not have lasted past the first season. But, it is also obviously one of those shows that a lot of people don't like, too.  For the record, I also don't find The Simpsons all that funny. Or Family Guy (is that right? another crude cartoon, you know which one I mean).

Strange thing is, I do like Benny Hill and Monty Python.
