Sorry wayne they are for a ruger blackhawk 44 mag. they were 240 gr SWC. without gas checks but they are hard cast not swaged. The base of the bullets look kinda like boatail rifle bullets is this bevel base? Anyways they shot great much better than the 240 gr. xtps I have been using. I loaded them with green dot, universal, and 2400, all with cci lp primers. Leading was almost virtually nonexistet. The only data i could find for 2400 was for 250gr keith bullets and it called for 20.0 grs of 2400. for like 14oo fps I may be wrong my manual is not with me. So I loaded them to 18gr. of 2400. Thinking of going up .5 to 1 gr. in the 2400. I'm looking at maybe using these for hogs and deer since they are harder than I thought they would be, and I got 500 of them for 35 bucks. If I was to load it to around 1000 to 1200 fps would this stilll make a good deer and hog load with the 240 gr? Thanks for all the advice.
