Ordered one of their specials straight from Ciener
http://www.22lrconversions.com/specials.htm, government matte fixed sites with extra mag, $219 shipped to Hawaii. Same thing at Midway is $234 before shipping. Customer service at Ciener is silent - no phone # or email. They do everything by mail, which is not ideal, but hey. I take it they're busy making slides with other folks labels on it.
Initially it would only slide on so far. I found a thread where a guy had to remove his ejector and dremel out a channel on a Kimber conversion to make it fit on a Taurus frame. So I stared long and hard at the pin for the ejector and decided I wanted a second opinion. Found a comment on Midway that it slid right on so I figured it must be rubbing somewhere. I "gently" pushed on the nose to see if there was some play, and rocking it back a few milimeters found that there was no hard resistance, just a little tight. Took it off and found the shiny parts, filed it down a hair, put a little jeweller's rouge on it, put it back on and racked it a hundred times. Took it apart again, wiped it off, oiled it, put it back together and racked a few more hundred times. Perfect! Now just need to take it shooting.
I may take a picture of the slide and post if anyone is interested. And I'll give a range report eventually.
