Does anyone use there FA revolvers for personal protection?
« on: September 14, 2009, 03:28:26 PM »
I know many FA enthusiasts use there guns for hunting, target shooting , and / or collecting. Are there any thoughts on using a single action as a self defense pistol against a "2 legged predetor"?  I know most experts would probably say "no", but I wonder how an expert single action shooter would fare against a less skilled opponent...I know never underestimate your opponent...right?? Just a crazy thought

I occasionaly carry a short barreled single action in a doc holiday rig for ccw. I dont feel a bit undergunned doing it.

Use what you have. Four, five or six thumb cocked shots is a lot better than a stick.
