used Parker Hunter Mag II, deal?
« on: August 31, 2009, 04:45:45 PM »
I am left-handed and looking at buying a used bow.  I've had bows in the past - from the most expensive and fastest to an old Bear compound.  I just want something that is simple, easy to maintain and draws and shoots smoothly.  Don't care about being the fastest anymore, just want to keep it simple...

I've found this bow used with a dozen carbon arrows, fiber optic sight, release, quiver, stabilizer, whisker biscuit, etc.  Ready to shoot for $300.00.

I'm not familiar with this particular bow, but it looks like it is in perfect condition and the box is even with it.  I've also found a few other LH bows for sale, but this appeared to be one of the best deals.  I am not spending over $300 on the project (total) and am willing to wait for a better deal if I should.

What do ya'll think?

Thank ya'll for your help.

My brother shoots a Parker. It's been a good bow so far, about 7 years now. They make a solid quality bow, they're just not as popular as others. If it fits and feels good I'd go for it.

Good luck.

I was going to say no, as this is an older model bow that has lost a lot of value, but with the $200 or so worth of accessories and with the bow being in perfect condition, I'd say go for it. It seems pretty common for people to jump into archery and then not last more than a year or so, which leaves a lot of good deals out there.
Good Luck!

I shoot a RH Parker Hunter Mag that is probably going on 6-7 years old now.  I love it, if/when I buy a new bow it will be another Parker.  But the bow fits me good, when I bought it I tried around 12 different bows and  the Parker is the one I left with.
