WATER OR LAND--FOR NEXT SEASON?
« on: June 16, 2009, 09:34:17 AM »
My plans never change,I love water trapping. The only time I resort to land trapping, is when I am paid to do it.
For the upcoming season, what are yor plans? Land,Water or both?

Both. I'm primarily a water trapper, but will make a few canine sets just for the heck of it.

I guess what most think of as my hard core line goes on land, but I usually play some days in the water too.

I'm will be doing a mix of water and land trapping. I'm hoping to get a cat tag this year. If I draw one I will have to make sure I fill it. Might be retired before I get another.

assuming I am able to this year (finances), I will be doing both.  Mainly water, though

I will run a rat canoe line instead of my early dry land coon line.
I will then run a water and land line for coon, rats, and canines until our deer season.
Post deer season I will do some canines and late season coons.

Instead of coon, rat, fox, mink, yotes my priorities will be rats, coon, fox, yotes and mink this season and most of the trapping will be later or not as much if the weather gets bad.

Water. The ol' canoe will make it another season. Mostly coon, mink, beaver, and otter. we don't have rats here in my area. ;D
