just bought new stevens 200 and need some tips on adjusting trigger. any help appreciated.

Try this link. The Stevens 200 is practically the same as a Savage 110.

on new stevens 200's you can
only
adjust the weight of pull. With carefull attention paid to maintaining some tension on the return spring.
DO NOT ATTEMPT
to adjust below 3.5lbs

You can go lower than 3.5# if you change the trigger wire to a lighter .041 music wire. I can usually get at least down to 3#, which is plenty good for a hunting rifle.

I have to say, I just replaced it with a Timney trigger. Sure it cost more, but its easier. Now good trigger.
