One slice of Toasted whole rye bread lightly buttered. Topped with slices of BBQ'ed Chinook Salmon, a small serving of potato salad and a fresh Tomato from the gardenand de-caf coffee.
Guys I love that salmon, only one piece left from my salmon trip up north near Junoe Alaska.

Note : What was for breakfast this morning. This post has been one of the better ones. Thank you!

It's a holiday so I thought this could lighten things up  ;D
Here's what I had ;D
Peppered maple beacon fried crisp
2 duck eggs fried over medium
wheat toast with butter
Weak grapefruit juice
Roy

""DUCK EGGS"    Man! That's like eating a rubber ball ;D
Tell me Roy.......What is weak Grapefruit juice? Is it juice without the joy juice added?

And WHEAT TOAST! Are you trying to put doctors out of work? ;)

Just polished off two eggs, one piece of sausage, two canned bis. and a glass of water to wash my  5 pills down with :D
The duck eggs are a little richer than chicken eggs. I've got one duck laying .As for weak grapefruit juice ,The wife is on a grapefruit juice is good for you kick . She serves up a cup of juice for breakfast, 8oz usually in a 16 oz glass  ;D I fill the glass the rest of the way with water ;D it is actually quiet  thirst quenching. I just like wheat toast better It has real butter on it

I eat only one meal a day. On monday, it was home made beer bread covered with fresh venison stew, garden fresh roasted peppers that I can myself, home made mint jelly, and a big mug of hot tea.

Biscuits, eggs, gravy, bacon, sausage, fried apples, and some sliced tomatoes. Then me and a couple of buds cut, hauled, split and stacked 3 cords of wood , That stuff will kill you if you don't burn it off.

4 eggs. 4 biscuits.  A small can of spam.  A bowl of grits. Half a pot of coffee.  A small bowl of frosted flakes for dessert.

Peanut butter and bacon sandwich and a tall glass of ice tea. Wife and kids have eaten all the eggs otherwise it woulda been the bacon with two over easy and grits. Tell you folks one thing, buying grits in Minnesota will draw a few stares. You'da thought I was asking for ammonium nitrate down at the truck stop.

If you get strange stares when buying grits, I can't imagine what kind of looks you would get if they knew you were putting bacon and peanut butter in a sandwich! I can tell you, I would look at you strange for that one! Sounds pretty-bad and very odd. But, hey, you gotta eat it not me.

Geez! I'm embarrassed to confess: A small bowl of raisin bran and wheat germ with blueberries and a dollop of yogurt, with a handful of grapes on the side. A big glass of water. That's about normal for me.

But when I'm having an "English breakfast", I like an egg over easy, with a Jimmy Dean sausage patty (no substitutes), home made home fries and maybe a piece of rye toast with jam. Heinz ketchup and Tabasco are essential condiments.

Another treat is my version of the Egg McMuffin. I made a ring to fry the egg in. Mmmm! I like the yolk a little runny with that sandwich. A little horseradish mellows it out real good.

Whaddya call it when you fry an egg in a hole cut in a piece of toast? I love those, and scotch eggs, which are hard to find here. Worked outside of London for a few months, and hit the local market every other day for scotch eggs for a fast breakfast.

As I remember at one time the boy scout handbook called this a one eyed jack.  Even better at Mom's restraunt i learned to make them with large sourdough bread.  Two slices sourdough buttered both sides, with a cookie cutter hole in each, drop on flattop till toasted one side, flip and stack toasted sides into middle, crack two eggs into center, flip when toasted on bottom, when eggs set medium slide onto plate, add grits, ham steak and red eye gravy.  We sold the fool out of this on Sat. morning breakfast, Mom called it the Alabama plate.  I started handling the Sat. morning flattop when I was 14, full grill at 16.  About the most fun I ever had with my clothes on.

We always called them egg-in-a-holes. My grandma called them egg-in-a-basket.

Thatt's my favorite way to have eggs. Couple dashes of tobasco on it mmmmmmmm.

cabin4 I've eaten pb and bacon sandwiches as long as I can remember. It is sort of a family thing I think, everyone on dads side thinks nothing of it. Otherwise I've only heard reference to them one other time. Peanut butter is good bacon is ...what superlative describes bacon... jam them together well nervana on bread. Unlike jelly bacon won't soak through bread, bacon won't be spoiling in the lunchbox like liverwurst and onoin sandwiches will. Whats not to like?

I love em both... bacon & peanut butter. It's the thought of them two together that seems to be at odds to me. But, hey, I never tried it so maybe I should just give it a try. I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food. I've tried some really weird stuff over the years. I just never heard of this one.

The last 2 mornings I have had a short stack of pancakes with sausage, washed down with coffee and ice water.   It's Questors fault, starting that pancake thread ::)
