Howdy,
I just acquired a 357 mag barrel and put it on my frame. Every thing looked good until I tried to open it.
It would not unlock. I finaly had to pull the trigger assembly to help it unlock from underneath.
The only difference I can see as compared to my other barrels is the one causing problems has a solid locking lug? (terminology?). The lugs on my other 3 barrels are all 2 piece, split in the middle.
This barrel has the older style (soldered/sweated/welded) front sight, an H on one side of the hinge? piece, a star on the other side, and something resembling a maltese cross on the bottom. Any info greatly appreciated.
