Model 58 Winchester .22 rifle
« on: September 09, 2009, 01:45:09 PM »
Just came home with a model 58 Winchester .22 single shot. Rifle is in great shape with a perfect bore,80% bluing and the stock is in nice shape. This gun was in the same family since new. Just had to get this for my 10 wk old grand daughter, hopes she likes it. So just what can you guys tell me about this Winchester other then there were 38,000 made. Thanks

IIRC, there were closer to 39, 000 made (38,992) from 1928-31 as an improvement from the Model 1904, and eventually evolved into the later Models 67/68 with fuller stocks, etc.
