Inmates in charge of assylum in washington state
« on: September 17, 2009, 05:25:46 PM »
Seems like our wonderful government turned a psychotic killer loose at the state fair today. Yep put him in a van drove him down there and turned him loose in the crowd. guy was in for life for murder. the politically correct version of this is that he walked away from a "field trip" that they let them take to socialize them so they wont have so many problems when released. Our tax dollars at work.
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten

If it wasn't for the word state in the subject line I would have thought you were talking about the fools in DC trying to run the government.  :D

One of the most important things related to imprisonment is the makeup of the parole board. In liberal states, particularly California, the position is that people in prison aren't doing anybody any good, and they are not being reformed, so they may as well be working and paying taxes. (I'm not making this up.) When the parole board is more conservative, sentences served tend to be longer and prisons tend to be more crowded because of it.

The one thing both sides agree on is that prison is not a mechanism for reforming a person.

Cases like the one mentioned above are very common.

Silly me; I thought the purpose of prisons is to punish bad people and remove them from society.  That's not to say that I am opposed to convicts being reformed, but that should never be the primary goal, but rather an ancillary benefit of a well run system where the inmates are forced to work at jobs that help to run the institution.  This of course is not for the really bad people; they need to be in a dungeon, or put to death.

But with regard for what happened at the Washington State Fair, I know there are murderers and there are murderers.  Which type was taken on the field trip is problematic for sure.  Hopefully, he/she was not a psycho serial killer, but maybe the type who has it in for liberals.

I wasn’t aware that the criminal element paid taxed on their illegal gains.

Should this be considered tax evasion? ::) ::) ::)
