30-30 in handi rifle, best loads

What is your best deer load for 30-30 in a handi rifle?  Looking for 150gr or heavier, thanks, Bill439

170 gr Hornady flat nose bullets  with  dose of  IMR 3130 is hard to beat.
For lighter loads that are quite effective on deer at moderate ranges try the some hard cast with 13 gr of Unique. This load is very comfortable to shoot accurate and easy on the pocket.

My "goto" powder for the 30-30 has been Win 748. There is a number of great powders for this ol'timer. 748 is mine...

For bullets, I love the Hornady 170sp.

I've used win 748 with good results but I have been blessed with a very large free supply of 3031.  It works well and accuracy is very good,
so my leverguns will be on a steady diet of this stuff for a long time.

Well, dont fret this one, 3031 is a damn good powder in the 30-30. You will do fine with it!!

Yet another vote for 3031 and the bullet I prefer is a Nosler Ballistic Tip. I always shot the 125's in my single shot 30-30's but the 150 grain is great too. Good luck and good hunting on what ever you choose.
