marlin 30-30 and leverevolution reloading
« on: September 21, 2009, 01:47:50 PM »
Gentelmen and or ladys,
I have been reading alot about the hornady leverevoltion 30-30 ammo . All reviews sound good and I'm dieing to try them but does any one have a reload for them? I love to reload and I loved my old marlin brush gun. This is one of my most accurate guns that I own and would love to extend its range. There is not very much info. out there on reloading. any help is needed.

Please call Hornady at 1-800-338-3220 for ballistics information. This is for the .308 160 grain FTX bullet. When I brought up this bullet's ballistics, I got the preceding message. I would think that you could use 160 - 165 grain data out of a reloading manual. I seriously doubt if you would be able to match factory loads for velocity. When ever a manufacturer brings out specialty ammo, they usually have developed a "secrete powder" to move it's performance ahead of any thing you can handload. Good Luck and Good Shooting

Thank you have . This is exactly what i figured . I just thought that someone might have tinkered with this load and might have a good load that they would be willing to share.
